Caterers & bars

We’ve heard great things about many caterers in our region, so if you are looking for a particular style or type of food then please do ask but for starters ..

We have no hesitation in recommending ..  Ged for the Hog and Apple’s gastro menus. Stylish, creative food from Lesley at Saunts.  The Yorkshire Party Company’s food is famously good. As is The Durham Ox not to mention their mobile pizza oven which is amazing.  Jonathan & Katrina head up Friends For Dinner with  a tailored approach. Matthew & Ashley from Baba Ganoush offer seasonal Yorkshire food as do Fryton Catering from their own small holding run by Linda. Siobhan at Feast is Ballymaloe trained. Brian and Liz at the Dusty Miller have been making lovely food for years. Then there’s Bruce at Salts for sophisticated homemade food.  Alice at Home Grown Hog Roast .. great pork.  Karen Manley of Tastes Divine and Paul Heffernan of Upcroft Catering, seriously tasty food.

For great live music, try solo guitarist, singer and songwriter Rachel Croft or Jazz Band New York Brass Band or multi instrumental folk band Gobbledigook, or rock and rollers, Johnny and the Dunebugs or The Players.  But for a musical specialist one stop shop with a variety of acts and a great lineup go to Matt at High Row Music.
